The Brouwer's , Bob and Barb, started showing Shorthorn cattle in 1975. They attended several local and state shows. Bob started showing cattle at the age of 10 in 4-H and later in FFA, at local and state levels, winning several champions with Milking Shorthorns, along with several showmanship awards. Barb started in 4-H as well, showing at local and at state levels too.

Heather, Joshua, Samantha, and Jim all started in 4-H, moving to FFA showing local, state and national levels. Throughout the years, many awards and trophies where won. The cattle were bought from several of the shorthorn breeders, where a lot of friendships were made too. All of our shorthorn trips were family affairs. Bob had a real love for the shorthorn cattle, watching his kids showing, watching a good baseball or softball game, and enjoying his grandkids. The Brouwer family will long cherish the memories of all of our state fair trips, and the friends we have made along the way.

We also wish to thank all who remembered us with calls, prayers, flowers, food, memorials, or with thoughts in any way, during Bob’s illness, and since his passing.
